The Pulitzer gets the boot too.
Why weren't there any atheists on that panel? Are we really that hard to find? Or did they just not trust us to not attack the other panelists in fits of militant, anti-God fever? Are two Christians and a Jew, none of whom are noted to be versed in social studies, theology, or moral theory, really qualified to talk about atheism? Why is the ESPN analyst the one with the most intelligence and integrity, especially when one of the other panelists is a professor?
Why is the journalism professor condoning such horrendously biased, and obviously biased, reporting?
You know, I thought it was just an isolated incident when my interviewer encouraged me to find religion during college. But no. Apparently atheism is the new black. Because belief in God makes you a moral, rational, upstanding person (eg. Hitler).
"Christian nation." So, what, we're supposed to be some sort of diet version of the Middle East? Oppressive Theocracy lite? Or are we on our way to full blown Oppressive Theocracy? Why would I not be surprised?
There are times when I hate this country, and there are times when I understand why my father hates religion so much, and there are times when I feel that the founding fathers have failed, and will not succeed in my lifetime.
This is one of those times.
